The thing is: On the one hand, it's very extraordinary for relatively new animes (and not the nostalgic animes) that the German Dub is on par with the Japanese Dub (not to mention, even surpassing it). On the other hand this dub is very complementary - due to the fact that the Attack on Titan-characters have already germanophone names and the setting is based on germanic towns during the Middle Ages.

- Christian Zeiger (the german voice actor from Armin Arlert), aka e.g. Kōshirō Izumi (泉 光子郎) in the first three Digimon Adventure tri-movies; Red from Pokémon Origins and as standard voice actor for Nathan Kress (famous as Fredward "Freddie" Benson from iCarly)
- Esra Vural (the german voice actress from Ymir) who had e.g. dubbed Gretchen from Disneys-cartoon series Recess and who is the standard voice actress for Ashley Tisdale

German Voice Actor Cast in Attack on Titan
Conclusion: I would rate the German Dub of Attack on Titan with 5 of 5 stars because it was a very superlative enjoyment. I'm very impressed and cannot complain about it.
I can recommend everyone who wanna re-watch Season 1 watching the German Dub. It's a very good occasion re-experience this season too. Anyway, I cannot wait to the 2nd Season's German Dub-release one day, so I'm gonna re-watch it after release.
The today's QOTD is only for the audience who already watched the German Dub of Attack on Titan: Do you also like it and would you recommend it to other people (or possibly even prefer it over the Japanese Dub)? I'm very interested about your opinion. Don't hesitate writing it in the comment section below.
